We'd like to extend a huge thanks to the Fowey Gallants S.C. en-mass and John and Kate Burford in particular for their terrific hospitality this last weekend, well above and beyond the call of duty, and we sincerely hope this will prove to have been the first of many such visits to come in the future.

25/06/2008 - Second Hand Moths For Sale
The list of second-hand boats for sale is currently very healthy with eight British Moths looking for a new home, ranging in price from "All reasonable offers considered" to a little over a grand for Nutmeg, a superb Goffo specimen from the end of the last decade that has enjoyed one careful owner since new.

So if you are looking to buy or looking to sell, then heading over to the BMBA community forums for a peep and a rumage is the thing to do!

In Other News
The first of the "Fowey Few" is currently winging his way southwards to sunny Cornwall. The rest of us are looking forward to following him shortly. Pictures and Pasty Report to follow after the weekend.

19/04/2008 - Evesham Open
Evesham Sailing Club have had a particularly busy weekend. Travelling British Moth sailors were greeted by a cold blustery easterly wind and the race officer, Simon Styles using the river to give a selection of trying courses for the three races. After counting the points Edwards was declared the outright winner, taking the Clarke Cup (a first time for an Evesham sailor for several years), Higson 2nd, and Taylor 3rd. With some of the visitors coming from as far afield as Norfolk and Wiltshire, the conditions and tight competition on the river ensure that the popularity of the Evesham Club remains high.

23/03/2008 - Tamesis Open
A full report can be viewed on the Yachts and Yachting website here.
Thanks to Rob Wilder and our other Tamesis Friends for such a welcome and encouragement.
"I have never sailed in snow before but am very sure I will never do it again." wrote New Boy of the day in question before then adding, "It was a really good way to start the season with every sort of weather condition I could think of to deal with!"
