Fowey,Cornwall…

One of the prettiest Cornish Small Towns and Harbours with the added attraction of the Upper River stretches at Golant.

Narrow streets and Pasties …excellent Hosts and good company Fowey is hard to resist.

Good Camping at Penmarlam as well as many B&B/Guest House possibilities.

Fowey Gallants S.C…..

I presume as before we will become, in effect guest members of Fowey Gallants S.C. for the time we are in Fowey.

A wonderfully welcoming and hospitable Club with really friendly members.

The Club is located almost centrally in the Town and a short stagger away from Pasty Mines, Shops, the Upper Deck Chandlery and Outriggers [the shops of choice !]

Fowey streets are narrow so please take care of young Children and Bill especially !

The Club Bar and Lounge area has a beautiful outlook over the Harbour with a well stocked bar and catering/cafe facilities[Thai Cook ]

Penmarlam Quay

Across the River from Fowey Penmarlam Quay and Slipway is below the Penmarlam Camping site.

Our launch H.Q. for the weekend and where boats can be left overnite during the weekend from Friday night.

Owned by the Fowey Harbour Commission we will have to pay to access the Quay area and to launch.

We will attempt to obtain a special rate.

Launching is good down a concrete ramp but access is steep.

Toilets and Showers are there as well as Small Café.

JOHN BURFORD

Big hearted John will be our main man over the weekend.

Rib Driver, Race Organiser will be an  ever-present at all the activities and hopefully joined by Kate.

This is John and Kate,s 4TH Moth visit so we are really indebted to them for their support.

John and Kate own The Upper Deck Chandlery and Outriggers opposite so make sure you stock up on all the bits and stuff you need !
